US OPEN officials have been slammed after tennis star Alize Cornet was given a code violation for turning her T-shirt the right way round.
The 28-year-old was returning to the court after a short break in her first round match when she realised she had put her shirt on back-to-front.

Cornet was taking on Swedish player Johanna Larsson in 33C heat in New York.
Turning her back to the cameras, she quickly re-adjusted, showing a flash of a black sports bra underneath.
But incredibly, the French tennis player was given a warning by chair umpire Christian Rask.
It has led to an outpouring of outrage on social media, with many claiming the decision to be sexist.

The Womens' Tennis Association rules state that females are not allowed to change clothing on court - yet men are.
Judy Murray, mother of two-time Wimbledon winner and Brit tennis hero Andy, was one of the first to express her disbelief at what went on.

She posted on Twitter: "Alize Cornet came back to court after 10 minute heat break. Had her fresh shirt on back to front.
"Changed at back of court. Got a code violation. Unsportsmanlike conduct.
"But the men can change shirts on court."
Former Australian tennis star Casey Dellacqua commented that it was a "ridiculous" decision to give Cornet a warning.
Twitter user Jane-Elise Cherry asked why it was OK for men to take their shirts off on court, but not for women.
She wrote: "So, hold on... Novak can take his shirt off because of extreme heat & that's ok. But Alize #Cornet takes a minute to turn her shirt around (with a bra on, BTW), & we're all losing our minds?!?! Right #USOpen #everydaysexism #youseemoreatthebeach."
This was also highlighted by Alissa Warren, who wrote: "Busted for code violation #alizecornet took 10 sec to turn top right way but #novacdjokovic can sit for minutes half-naked. Same comp.
"Days after @serenawilliams slammed for disrespecting tennis because she wore a #catsuit. Not fair. Not right. Tell your daughters."
#USOpen2018 really giving @alizecornet a code violation for quickly turning her shirt. Yet men change shirts like 2x sometimes in a match and we gotta see their naked bodies? Stop double standards! #tennis
— Heartlines (@Taco_Lima) August 29, 2018Can’t believe that code violation for changing your shirt. Men do it constantly. Look at the @usopen #usopen match with Dalgopolov at set point down. He got zero and the shot clock didn’t start. #equality
— andrew_millis (@MillisAndrew) August 29, 2018Alize Cornet can be as “unsportsmanlike” as she likes in my book. If Rafa can get a cheer changing shirts at change of ends, why not the women? She was still wearing as much or more as players wear on the practice courts.

And Snezana Petreski posted a gif of male tennis star Rafa Nadal taking his T-shirt off on court, writing: "god forbid that @alizecornet wears a sports bra, at a SPORTING event, and gets a code violation????
"Unbelievably sexist considering the men do it all the time. #usopen18 #Unbelievable #Disgrace."
Em Baker was scathing on what she saw as blatant sexism.

She wrote: "#elizecornet demonstrating that no matter a woman’s achievements with her body, many men will only ever see it first and foremost as an explicit sex object."
And another Twitter user wrote: "Once again women's bodies are being policed in the sport of tennis.
"This time an umpire thinks we should be protected from a glimpse of Alize Cornet's sensible sports bra.
"As if we don't see more flesh exposed on a beach."
Things didn't get much better for Cornet on court.
She exited the US Open after losing 4-6 6-3 6-2 to Larsson.
